DC ‘Corrupts’ Blackest Night and Infinite Crisis

With the Dark Multiverse spreading and “corrupting” the entire DC Universe, more major events have been consumed and reimagined by the darkness.

Previously the dark reimagining of Batman Knightfall and Death of Superman were announced for October releases and now two more Tales from the Dark Multiverse are coming as Blackest Night and Infinite Crisis are being corrupted by the darkness that is engulfing DC Comics.

Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Blackest Night

Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Blackest Night #1 comes from the imaginations of writer Tim Seeley and artist Kyle Hotz (Swamp Thing: Roots of Terror) as they retell the greatest Green Lantern story of all time but unlike the first time, the Black Lanterns win.  Twenty-three days following the apocalypse, Sinestro is trapped between life and death as a mix of a Black Lantern and White Lantern-making Sinestro the Limbo Lantern.  Sinestro will enlist the likes of Dove, Lobo and Mister Miracle.  The new team will put their lives on the line to bring new light to the multiverse.

Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Infinite Crisis

Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Infinite Crisis #1 comes from writer James Tynion IV (Justice League and Justice League Dark) and artists Matt Ryan (Damage) and Aaron Lopresti (Wonder Woman).  The destruction of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman has led to the rise of Alexander Luthor and Superboy-Prime and it all began with Ted Kord, the Blue Beetle.  Kord foresaw the whole event and died keeping his secrets that could have saved the world.  This time in the Dark Multiverse, Kord survived and after the murder of Maxwell Lord by the Blue Beetle, a series of events occur that alter the lives of the entire DC Universe including Kord’s best friend, Booster Gold.

Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Blackest Night and Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Infinite Crisis are scheduled for release in November.
