Everything you need for the DC Comics Film Slate

Since Warner Bros announced their movie phases for the next 6 years – just a little cocky – anyone who doesn’t read comics should grab a pen and paper and write these.

IGN has compiled a very extensive list as to which comics you should read to get a better understanding of the films. Of course, this is a two-sided coin. These comics will either give people a greater appreciation for the films, or leave them a little more than dissatisfied. However, with Hollywood, there is no telling how much the films are going to take from particular stories.

While the list is mostly compiled of series’ of the New 52 I personally want to encourage readers to seek out older comics, especially in regards to Wonder Woman because Azzarello, while a great Batman writer, didn’t capture who Wonder Woman is as a character. That’s my personal opinion on the matter, but an issue from let’s say ten years ago, particularly the story “Sacrifice” where she takes on Max Lord; that was an amazing issue because she also goes head to head with Superman and Batman.

But I digress, here is the list compiled by IGN.
