Nightwing’s Director Keeps Quiet During Comic Con…Until Now

If you said that DC Films has been lazy and not putting a lot out, then you probably haven’t seen the full lineup of movies and projects that are in the works right now. At San Diego Comic-Con a few weeks ago they announced quite the lineup of upcoming films such as The Batman, Wonder Woman 2, Batgirl, Justice League Dark, and even Flashpoint!

Now, it was noticed that the Nightwing movie didn’t get mentioned and was immediately questioned on social media, but according to director Chris McKay it is simply because there isn’t anything to share about the film yet.

With it being in it’s earliest stages it is really impossible to share anything and McKay had this to say:

I’ve turned down films because they were backed into a release date that made it difficult to make a great film. This isn’t going to be like that. I want this movie to blow you away. We need time to get it right.

This is why McKay is trying to play it smart and doesn’t want to be beholden to a deadline that will cause the film to not reach it’s full potential. McKay has recently spoken about his hopes for the movie and that the actor who takes on the role of Dick Grayson should fully envelope the character and show off Grayson’s own skills and awesomeness as a protege of Batman, as well as a caped crusader of his own.  There has not been any word as far as a release date but we will keep our ears to the ground till one comes up.
