The DCEU is a revolving door of upcoming movie rumors and speculation as it pertains to its future sale of big screen superior adventures and now, Deadshot is no different.

According to Suicide Squad star, Will Smith, he would love to dig deeper into the Deadshot character in his own spin-off movie and states that meetings about a Deadshot solo film have already taken place.

Recently, Will Smith was fielding questions from fans on his YouTube channel and answered one about the possibility of a future movie for Deadshot.

“I hope so.  I love playing Deadshot.  I really enjoyed that character. They’ve been talking about it.  So if a good idea comes around, we’ve been having meetings.  But I would love to.  I love Deadshot.”

Rumors about a solo Deadshot film inside the DCEU are nothing new as they go as far back to December 2016 and still remain despite vast changes inside the corporate offices of the Warner Bros owned, DC Entertainment.  Despite Warner Bros going for a more “adventurous” movie slate (Wonder Woman 1984, Shazam, Aquaman) maybe a more low-key, hitman/spy adventure could be a nice change.
