Actress Jayme Lawson will be joining the ever growing roster of talented actors for Matt Reeves’ The Batman. There is no announcement as of yet as to which character she will be playing in the film.

For those unfamiliar with Lawson, that’s because she is relatively new to movies. For those that do know her, they know that she is an actress with a lot of talent and promise.

As of right now, she has no credits or even an IMDB page but that will surely change soon. At Juilliard, Lawson played Juliet from Romeo and Juliet and notably in the title role in Hamlet. She exhibits promising talent in both singing and in acting.

Lawson comes from the venerated Juilliard School of acting in New York. Juilliard alumni include the likes of Robin Williams, Jessica Chastain, Anthony Mackie, and Oscar Isaac. There is one alum that is cherished by the DC Faithful: Superman himself Christopher Reeves.

Warner Bros is no stranger to giving actors their big break. Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians), Sophia Lillis (It), and recently Kyliegh Curran (Doctor Sleep) have recently arrived as notable actors in Hollywood. Lawson may not have many film credits but offers will be coming in soon.

Production Credits

The Batman will feature Robert Pattinson as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Zoe Kravitz will play Catwoman/Selina Kyle and Paul Dano will play The Riddler. Other notable actors include Jeffery Wright as Commissioner James Gordon with Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis in talks for roles. It is rumoured that Serkis will play Alfred Pennyworth.

Matt Reeves is serving as director for The Batman. Reeves serves alongside Mattson Tomlin as screenplay writers. Reeves and Dylan Clark are serving as producers.

United Talent Agency (UTA) is representing actress Jayme Lawson.

The Batman will premiere on June 25th, 2020.
