As much as scheduling movies years in advance may not make the most sense to us common folk, it is what it is. And as such, the news that Wonder Woman 84 director, Patty Jenkins, presently is perhaps putting serious thought into Wonder Woman 3. For a look at her thoughts on the movie as of May 2020? Check out the DC Comics News article on it here. Patty Jenkins Thinking Aheaed on “Wonder Woman 3“.

The second movie, originally slated for release this month (June 2020), and delayed until October 2020, has been ready to release for about a year now. As oft many blockbusters are prepared. According to the article above, “this gives Patty Jenkins the luxury of thinking about what comes next, and she thinks there’s going to be some changes to her original plan.”

“Not long ago, Jenkins said that she had a story arc planned out for Wonder Woman across the first two films, an Amazonian spinoff, and Wonder Woman 3. But then the coronavirus pandemic arrived, and that has caused her to reevaluate things slightly.”

When speaking with Total Film, Patty Jenkins said:

“I’ve really hit the pause button. Because the truth is, where that plotline was coming from was our state of being six months ago. And so I want to make sure that I’m totally absorbing whatever the result of this pandemic is.”

“We’re not starting to work on that movie right away,”

“I’m hoping to do this Amazon movie before we do the third Wonder Woman. And I may not do either of them. You never know what will happen in this world, you know? But yes, I think the plotline will stay very similar, probably. But I want to make sure it’s influenced by all of this.”

At the time of this article, the aforementioned second movie is slated to release into theaters on October 2nd 2020. At present no further delays have been announced, but with the situation continues to evolve as it is concerning COVID-19, as such anything can yet occur.
