Arrow Season Two is coming to DVD/Blu-Ray September 16. The hit CW series stars Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, Colton Haynes, Manu Bennett, Susanna Thompson and Paul Blackthorne. Blu-Ray.com released the new box art of Arrow’s second season along with the season’s synopsis.
Based on the DC Comics “Green Arrow” superhero comic book series, Arrow has been reinvented for a modern day audience. Starling City has been torn apart by the Undertaking, so the need for the hooded vigilante – now known as The Arrow – is more urgent than ever. After retreating to the island on which he was once stranded, Oliver Queen (Amell) returns to protect his mother, sister and besieged company but comes to realize that allies and enemies have switched sides, and the stranglehold of evil on family, friends and city is diabolically linked to his fateful shipwreck. A one-tight comrade-at-arms and a strength-enhancing, yet wind wrapping serum may prove to be the mightiest advisories The Arrow has ever encountered. Arrow: The Complete Second Season DVD box set comes with all 23 episodes and is packed with extras, including episode commentaries, exclusive behind-the-scene looks at the show’s stunt team (the real life Team Arrow), and of course, a gag reel. The Blu-Ray edition will come as a DVD/Blu-Ray Combo Pack along with a digital edition.
