He also introduced his replacement, starting on issue #24 – Matt Kindt, whose work on the Image title Mind MGMT and the Martian Manhunter backups in Justice League of America have received ample fan praise.

Kot himself had these glowing words to say of Kindt: “Matt Kindt is a very capable storyteller who is doing exciting things in the comics medium and I wish him great things.”

As for the reasons for his departure, Kot only had this to say: “I killed my deadlines, I wrote my best, and I have no regrets whatsoever.”

We here at DC Comics News wish both Ales Kot and Matt Kindt the best in both of their new ventures.

Suicide Squad #24, story by Matt Kindt and art by Patrick Zircher, releases October 9th.
