This week is the 5th week of July, so that means Annuals for the New 52 DC titles. One of the four annuals released this week is Animal Man Annual #2. Fresh out of Rotworld and the events of his son’s death, Animal Man faces the new villain Spider Queen teased previously in What’s New in the New 52 on the DC Comics Blog. How will Buddy control his powers and emotions against a villain that seem to have his number in the preview? Also how will this Annual lead into the events of the regular series that future solicits reference Brother Blood and an impact that affects Animal Man to the root of his powers?
